Often overlooked as day trip destinations from Casalone are Lucca and the seaside resorts of Viareggio and Forte Dei Marmi. There are some great options for dining there if you go.

Osteria Baralla – within the heart of the medieval town Osteria Baralla has been welcoming guests since 1860 and offers local, seasonal specialities
